Desmos is a non-profit Foundation created by a team of young, dynamic people and which are connected by the honest vision for the need to responsibly and effectively utilize the private initiative in addressing the humanitarian crisis afflicting our country, as well as the common understanding of professionalism. The ultimate common goal for Desmos is to assist in creating sustainable networks of solidarity and the cultivation of social and humanitarian responsibility.

Myrto is a graduate of Campion School, Athens. She continued her studies at The College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, USA. She majored in Sociology and graduated with a B.A. in 2003. Upon graduation she moved to NYC and worked at ELLE magazine. She returned to Athens in 2004 and opened her own clothing stores, importing brands from abroad. Today, she works alongside her mother in their family business ILEANA MAKRI S.A., which designs, manufactures and exports jewelry around the world.
Ekavi has studied Classics (BA Honors) and Theatre Studies (MA). She has lived in London and New York, where she worked for 2 years of the Global Philanthropy Department and the Merrill Lynch Foundation at Merrill Lynch. She has extensive professional experience with non-profit organizations, especially in theatre production, fundraising, program and event coordination. She has collaborated with well-known organizations and festivals such as the New York State Council on the Arts, the NY Fringe Festival, the Public Theater and the Athens & Epidaurus Festival.
Alexia graduated from Middlebury College in the United States with a degree in Geography. After that she moved to New York and started working for the New York Knicks in the community relations department. After three years in the sports world she decided to return to school and got her MBA from IESE University in Barcelona. Following her MBA she moved to Madrid to work in the Corporate Social Responsibility department of France Telecom Espana – Orange. In 2009 she decided to move back to Greece and opened an Online Auction company called Bidbang. In 2011 she started working for her family business.
Niki is a lawyer admitted to practice in both Athens and New York and a partner at “Kerameus & Partners Law Firm” based in Athens (Greece). She studied law at the University Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), where she obtained both her degree in law (Maîtrise) and a masters’ degree (D.E.A.) in private international law and arbitration law. During her D.E.A. Niki was also a teaching assistant to law students at the University Paris II (Panthéon-Assas). She subsequently obtained an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School (with a focus in international arbitration) and then worked for a number of years in the litigation department of the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. She finally returned to Greece where she practices mainly as a consulting and arbitration lawyer.
Marina is a dentist. She received her BDS degree (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from the St.Bartholomew’s and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, in the United Kingdom. She then received prosthodontic specialty training at the New York University, in New York, where she continued working as a Teaching Fellow for an additional year. She moved back to Greece in 2006, and since then has been working in her private dental practice.
