Panagiota Plataniti is a Psychology graduate of the Social Sciences department of University of Crete, and is currently a Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology postgraduate student at the Aristoteleio University in Thessaloniki. She has completed numerous practical trainings at various locations including the adult unit of the Hellenic Centre for Mental Hygiene & Research in Thessaloniki, the Reintegration Care Unit of the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki – G.N.TH Papanikolaou, in Protected Apartments of Psychosocial Support, Edinburgh (Erasmus Internship) and in the Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Unit and Short Stay Rehabilitation Units of the General Hospital in Rethymno, Crete.
She started working at Kentro Fi, acquiring a Psychologist role for the implementation of the project “I Support You who Support”.
This project aims to offer psychological support to employees of Elderly Care Units, and to staff members of the program “Help at Home” in municipalities both inside and outside of Attica, who have been on the front line during the pandemic, offering their services with full responsibility towards the elderly. Psychological support will be provided through individual online sessions and/or through staff empowerment focus groups.
The services of Kentro Fi, will be provided remotely, in compliance with COVID-19 protective measures.
