With the motto #sakkattack, Maria Sakkari, the phenomenal young Greek tennis player, is our very first Ambassador!

Our collaboration with Maria is a great honor and her contribution in disseminating Desmos’ mission and work makes as very  proud.

We welcomed Maria to the Desmos family with an intimate event for friends and select members of the press at Myrtillo Café in Athens. Maria spoke about her decision to support our work, as she moved us with her kind words and glowing smile.

” I truly believe in the value of giving and civic engagement, because they have the power to create waves of positive change for each and everyone of us. That’s why I am thrilled to accept Desmos’ invitation, which allows me to contribute as the foundation’s first ambassador.

Despite my heavy schedule that takes me around the world, I intend to stay close to Desmos’ team.

I completely identify with Desmos’ values – hard work, persistence, transparency – and I am confident that with my participation I will be able to inspire younger generations to believe in Desmos’ vision, as strongly as I do.

Giving is very important to me and I am excited to have found the best possible partner in Desmos: I have the opportunity to promote how important it is to contribute through an organization that I know very well and which utilizes every donation in the best possible way for the greater good.

Being part of this family has already been a source of inspiration and pride. I am grateful to the Desmos team for their trust.
