Thanks to the extremely generous donation of a family, who wishes to remain anonymous, we have been able to fully equip a room in the nephrology clinic of the Ippokratio General Hospital in Athens.
The room was equipped with three modern hospital beds specialised for patients with kidney problems, with an integrated weighing system, nightstands and tables, as well as IV stands.
The hospital’s staff also contributed to this effort by preparing and repainting the room so it would be ready for the new equipment.
It should be noted that the specific department treats almost 1,000 patients on a yearly basis, while during hospital call days they provide medical assistance to more than 1,130 patients with acute kidney problems.
