Emily studied Sociology and History at Deree College and continued her studies in the USA where she obtained an MA in International Relations at Boston University. She returned to Greece in 1993 and started working for Zoumboulakis Galleries in 1994. In the 10 years that she worked for the Gallery she learned to love all about art, she collaborated with artists, art collectors and journalists, she met many interesting people and established lifelong friendships. In 2004 she started working for WWF Greece as Head of Fundraising and later as Major Donors Manager, where she remained for 15 years. Her interest in environmental issues is a part of her everyday life. In 2019 she became a member of the Desmos team, as General Manager.
Fun fact: Emily attended a speech given by Ekavi Valleras, way back when Desmos was in its baby steps. Upon returning to her office she shared with colleagues that she was extremely inspired by Ekavi’s passionate speech and the story of 5 friends that came up with the idea of creating a giving hub connecting those in need with those who had the capacity to offer help.
