Equine Shelter Caretaker | Rancheros

Xenia Arvaniti will be working with the Rancheros animal welfare association and will be participating in all the work of the estate and especially in the care of the equines, including their cleaning and daily yarding, supporting the medical needs of the equines as well as their training. As part of her collaboration with RANCHEROS association, she will also work as an escort on the daily summer horse rides, communicating with the visitors and guiding them around the site. The main objective is to help in the effort to return to normality and extroversion of the association.

The Rancheros animal welfare association was created in 2015, with headquarters in Heraklion, Attica, and a branch on the beach of Agia Anna, Agali, in N. Evia. The purpose of the association is the care of abandoned equines (horses and donkeys) and the rescue of abused ones. After the fires of August 2021, the refuge was severely damaged, and since then efforts have been focused on restoring the refuge. However, the estate can be visited for educational purposes, tourist horse rides are conducted and volunteers from all over the world who want contact with nature and more knowledge about animals are hosted.
